This past weekend the CGI(Chestnut Growers Inc.)  distributed fresh pawpaws to all six MI Whole Foods locations. The fruit was received with great enthusiasm and all six stores sold out over the weekend! Produce buyers also expressed interest in other uncommon fruits such as Asian pears… what a good sign—growing interest in uncommon and underutilized foods.
